Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Deputy / Tendering Director to lead our tendering operations in Egypt. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire tendering process, ensuring the submission of competitive and compliant bids that align with our strategic goals. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction and civil engineering industries, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in securing major projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Tendering Process: Oversee the preparation, submission, and management of tenders for high-value building and civil engineering projects.
• Strategy Development: Develop and implement tendering strategies that maximize win rates while ensuring profitability and compliance with company standards.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of tendering professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors, to gather information, negotiate terms, and finalize bids.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with tendering activities to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
• Compliance: Ensure all tender submissions adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of 20 years’ experience in Tendering of industrial projects (petrochemical, refinery, water, power, cement, metallurgy, etc.).
• Must have worked with a large EPC company of repute for projects in Egypt and outside Egypt (GCC)
• Strong personality with good commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication skills in English. French language skills will be an added advantage but not essential
• Ability to manage a big team of senior engineers and ready to work for long hours
• Knowledge and good contacts with all OEMs and major vendors/ manufacturers in this field
• Good knowledge of the market conditions and competition
