Division: Internal Audit
Job Title: Lead Internal Auditor Information Systems
Job Summary:
Responsible and accountable for planning and delivering internal audit and consultancy engagements for assigned audit entities / units as per the approved structure. Assigned areas may change from time to time as communicated by the Audit Manager.
Review the design and operating effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes and controls in the assigned audit units / areas.
Examine and evaluate adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of governance, risk management, systems of internal controls and compliance with laws, regulations and approved policies and procedures.
Regularly interact with Head of Audit to discuss issues and recommend improved business practices.
Perform all responsibilities and work in compliance with the Internal Audit Manual and/or the International Standards for the Professional Practices of Internal Auditing.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the Audit Manager to create and maintain a risk-based internal audit plan (including budgeting and resource plan) for the Bank.
Lead/Support the Audit Manager in the implementation of the plan by managing multiple internal audit engagements concurrently, ensure proper resourcing for implementation of the plan, and adjust the engagement plan as needed in response to emerging risks, operations, programs, systems and controls.
Independently or jointly lead, perform and complete assigned audits (engagement planning, field work and reporting), ensuring methodical documentation of work plans, audit programs, risk and control matrix, testing results, conclusions and recommendations, in compliance with the standards of the IIA and ensuring continuing improvement in the standard of the audit work and continuing relevance to business needs.
Document, manage and perform audit procedures/steps/tests, identifying issues, developing audit criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.
Ensure that audit programs/risk and control matrixes are up to date and executed including testing / auditing procedures that assess design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls in accordance to, and in compliance with, the latest CBO regulations and Bank policies and procedures.
Communicate results of auditing and consulting projects via written reports and presentations IAD management.
Evaluate performance of the assigned IA staff, and develop and implement an Individual Development Plan.
Lead or support in the investigation of significant issues in the Bank including fraud.
Any other tasks as assigned.
Draft audit reports including audit findings and recommendations.
Prepare and issue various reports in accordance with audit plans as and when requested by any of the seniors in the division.
Ensure timely follow-up of corrective action items.
Ensure follow-up on findings and corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement in the management of risk and operational excellence.
Ensure close and cordial working relationship with the Senior Management, and develop and maintain good communication lines with client, staff and management relationships through individual contacts and meetings.
Remain current on regulatory trends and developments in the related field.
Adhere to the set Internal Audit KPIs such as the number of high risk observations reported, number of observations implemented during the year divided into risk severity, cost saving and revenue / loss optimization opportunity.
Liaise with division and division heads in all matters relating to audit findings, recommendations and required implementation to ensure that all audit observations/findings are communicated and addressed.
Adhere to the IAD s policies, procedures, systems, and standards and guidelines of Institute of Internal Audit (IIA).
Ensure compliance with quality assurance and improvement program of the Internal Audit function.
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, etc.
CISA is a must.
7+ years of experience in an audit firm or similar, with exposure to Internal Audit assignments OR experience in the Internal Audit department in a Bank/ Financial Institution.
