Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and creative Sous Chef specializing in Oriental and European cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both culinary traditions and be adept at blending these diverse flavors to create unique and exciting dishes. The Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, menu development, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation and Cooking:
• Prepare and cook a variety of Oriental and European dishes with precision and flair.
• Develop and refine recipes that seamlessly integrate elements from both cuisines.
• Ensure consistency and high quality in all dishes prepared.
Menu Development:
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design innovative, seasonal, and fusion menus.
• Introduce new dishes that combine Oriental and European culinary techniques and flavors.
• Adapt menus based on customer feedback and culinary trends.
Kitchen Management:
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist in scheduling and evaluating kitchen personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
Quality Control:
• Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s quality standards.
• Monitor portion sizes, waste management, and food costs.
• Manage inventory, ensuring the availability of essential ingredients and minimizing waste.
Health and Safety:
• Uphold all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Implement and enforce kitchen safety protocols and hygiene practices.
• Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Collaboration and Leadership:
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.
• Lead by example, demonstrating strong work ethic and professionalism.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in both Oriental and European cuisines.
• Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
